Two Houses in Wiltshire Village Case Study
- Project: New Build Housing Scheme
- Case Study: New Build in Wiltshire Village
Case Study
We won an appeal for outline planning permission for the erection of two houses within the grounds of a large house in a Wiltshire village. This was achieved by successfully demonstrating to the Planning Inspector that the site was part of the settlement as a suitable infill plot, in a sustainable location. We were then instructed by the landowner to prepare a fully detailed application for these houses.
The scale and proportions of the resulting scheme negotiated with the Council was produced to respond to the site and its surrounding built context. The design also paid careful attention to the local distinctive and traditional detailing, including the use of complimentary local construction materials and detailing.
Full planning permission was approved and these houses are now complete.
