LPC (Trull) Ltd recently obtained consent for two additional storeys of residential accommodation comprising 12no. apartments on top of an existing terraced commercial (mix of office and retail space) building within Guildford Town Centre in line with the new ‘airspace plus’ permitted development rights. Class AB (new flats on terraced buildings in commercial or mixed use) of Part 20 of the GPDO allows for up to two additional storeys in the airspace above any terraced or semi-detached commercial or mixed use building.
