Working in association with Bath based Vass Architects planning permission has been obtained for the erection of a new dwelling following the demolition of an existing garage in a residential area of Bath. Permission had previously been refused and an appeal dismissed. Using the terms of the appeal as a constructive framework though we were able to guide the design changes necessary and convince the Council that the Inspector’s decision was a material and positive one and did not raise an in-principle objection, despite the Council’s original raft of objections.
