LPC (Trull) Ltd Director Simon Chambers is pleased to announce the recent grant of planning permission for the conversion of a barn as a new dwelling in Mendip.

The site had long background of issues, including an historic permission for a holiday let conversion, but more recently its conversion for residential use was refused in 2018 for 6 separate reasons. The current permission, as an unrestricted residence perhaps unsurprisingly therefore took 10 months from submission to negotiate to fruition, but managed to overcame the structural concerns previously about the building’s suitability for conversion, the delivery of a functioning surface water drainage solution and suitable sound attenuation to address the purported concerns arising from the hypothetical reopening of the former public house next door.
